ROAD RAGE WEST 2011 – CONTEST RULES ARE OUT

Posted on 15. Jul, 2011 by in Skatepark

Rock Skaters check out the competition rules for this year’s Skate Life Road Rage West skate camp.  Eight Rock Skaters will be competing this year between Aug 1st and Aug. 7th in the Kamloops and Kelowna area of BC.  Watch for updates on twitter and Facebook letting you know where we’re skating and how we are doing.

CINEMATOGRAPHIC SKATE TRIP CHALLENGE RULES
In the past, ROADRAGE has produced a Manifest filled with pages of challenges to accomplish in a week. This year we have simplified, and jammed all the prior manifest adventures into one humongous challenge:
YOUR TEAM MUST PRODUCE AN EDITED 5 MINUTE SKATE VIDEO MONTAGE OF YOUR CREW’S ADVENTURES ON ROADRAGE 2011!
Finally, a ‘choose your own adventure’ skateboarding camp!
You decide how you want to present your team’s ROADRAGE week to the rest of the camp. On August 6 at 7:30 pm your team’s video will air at ROADRAGE’S CINEMATOGRAPHIC VIDEO PREMIERE at a theatre in Kelowna, BC. Your team’s video will compete with every other team to see who’s video will take top prize & A VAN FULL OF PRODUCT!!!!
Here are the rules for the contest.
1. Videos must NOT go more than 5 minutes. We will turn off your vid at exactly 5 min. so keep it under 5 minutes!
2. Video must include everyone in your team. The more equal exposure you give, the better your vid will score.
3. Filming starts on Monday, Aug 1 at the precise moment your entire team first enters your team’s van. Not before!
4. It’s a family show! No cursing, nudity, illegal activity, etc. Be excellent- make something really cool. We want to be
proud of your work when we show it to everyone else.
5. Video needs to be handed to the RR program team in Kelowna on Sat, Aug 6 at 1pm. No Later!
We are assembling a special panel of judges for the Video Premiere. There are 4 themes they will judge your video with:
1. Quality of Skating, 2. Quality of your story or theme, 3. Quality of your edit, 4. Over-all WOW! factor.
REMEMBER- your team does not have to score high in all 4 areas to win.
Be creative, work hard, have fun, and make a rad video of your crew!
